Welcome to STN convention 2009 registration. Today you will be able to pre-plan convention registration details.

Actual sign-up will be online in a few weeks when we connect our new accounting system to this website. In the meantime, we are providing you with all of the materials to plan your trip and the participation details for your students.

Here are the materials you will have available today for planning your participation in the convention:

1. What students, advisers and chaperones will attend?

Please download the convention attendee pre-planning form for your use. You will use the information on this form when you register online.

2. What nights you will stay at the Rosen Plaza Hotel?

Please download the Rosen Plaza rooming list

Note: you can download this form and begin booking rooms immediately with the hotel by emailing or faxing the form to the hotel.

3. What contests will each student enter?

Please download the convention contest form. Your choices can be noted on the convention attendee pre-planning form for now and transferred to the online registration when available.

4. Which students will participate in the sweet 16 contests?

Download the information about the sweet 16 contests. Then plan which students will participate. This can be noted on the convention attendee pre-planning form for now.

5. Will advisers participate in the training provided for new and advanced teachers by RTNDF – the radio and television news directors foundation? Note this on the convention attendee pre-planning form.

6. What pre-convention training sessions will students attend?

We are finalizing plans with adobe, avid and apple for pre-convention training. This information will be available soon.

You must be a registered STN affiliate to attend the convention. If you are not an affiliate with up to date registration, please go the registration page to sign up.

Cost is $80 per person, with contest fees at $10.00 per person. Pre Convention Training is $40.00 per session. Meals and lodging are the responsibility of the attendee.

Before you begin, please have the name of each student and adviser or chaperone who will be attending the 2009 STN Affiliate Convention ready. This information is used to generate a secure ID that grants access to contest and ticketed areas at the convention. The information you provide will not be shared with anyone except STN Convention staff.
