Doug Green teaches middle and high school broadcast journalism in Carlsbad, California. He is the current president of the Student Television Network, and a former teacher-advisor for PBS Television. Green was a National Technology Educator of the Year finalist and a consultant with the United States Department of Defense School System on issues related to media instruction. Doug Green's book, "Teaching Broadcasting," is used in classrooms across the country, as well as in DODEA classrooms in Europe and Asia.

Cheryl became involved with Student Television Network in 2002 as an affiliate. She has been teaching Television Production and Broadcasting for seven years, teaching five different levels of television including short stories and documentary. Her students produce a live daily news program which airs 5 days a week on the local access channel and the internet. Cheryl has a BA in English and an MA in Teaching and Leadership. She is currently working on her second masters in technology.

An active member of STN since 2001, Jim just retired from full-time teaching at Perry High School in Iowa, but plans to continue teaching broadcast journalism part time and working in other areas of scholastic broadcasting. He currently serves on the Student Press Law Center’s steering committee, is a former RTNDF teacher ambassador, and has served on Channel One’s Teacher Advisory Board.

Jacki teaches broadcast journalism at Searcy High School in Searcy, Arkansas. She has been involved with STN since 1999 and was recently honored as journalism adviser of the year for the Arkansas Scholastic Press Association. Jacki recently became an Apple certified Final Cut Pro Trainer.

Jeb has been teaching TV Production and Broadcast Journalism in South Florida for twelve years. He is currently an adviser for the award winning Broward Teen News program but he spent eight years prior, in the classroom, as both a middle and high school TV Production Teacher. Jeb works and teaches Broadcast Journalism in a studio located at WBEC BECON-TV, a fully licensed public tv station, owned and operated by the Broward County School District, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

By the end of June 2009, the student-run production will have reached its 250th show. Being a part of the Board of Directors has allowed Rene to contribute to an organization that has been extremely valuable to his career.

Nancy has more than 30 years of experience in marketing, public relations, special events and video production. She has worked in the educational arena producing live telethons, managing fundraising opportunities and producing events for non-profit organizations. At STN, Nancy is responsible for the daily operation of the business, sponsorships and fundraising, program direction, contests and managing the STN annual convention.
