#MediaMonday: Convention Shout Out Video

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

As we are just over four weeks away from convention, my emails over the course of the next month will be focused on preparing for convention.

In the wake of the lat two years, what an absolute blessing it is that we are looking at a blended convention at the end of February!?! Regardless of whether you are virtual or in-person, national convention is a special event: thousands of students all over the country meeting together to celebrate hard work, excellence, and community.

To connect that community, we are kicking off opening ceremonies a little differently this year. If your school is participating in this year's STN Convention, we want your program to send us an STN Shout out video.

Here's what you need to do:

  • Record in-field or in a studio production set

  • Show as many members as possible while abiding by COVID-19 guidelines

  • Say these two lines with clear audio and good visuals: “Reporting from (location, region/state), we are (program name)” “Welcome to STN”

  • Also, please send some b-roll of the studio and/or the front of the school.

When it's all done, upload your videos into a folder labeled (Location_State_ProgramName) to this Google Drive link by Wednesday, Jan. 26th.

Your students are ready for their stories to be shared with the world and because of that, this convention is going to be extraordinary.

Talk to you soon,

Josh Cantrell
