#MediaMonday: Finishing the Year

Good Morning Everyone,

I had a great time talking to our affiliate teachers during our Teacher Talk on Thursday. We spent out time discussing the things that worked this year and what we are looking forward to in the coming year. The theme of the evening was "Finishing the Year Strong" and to that end, we talked a lot about what teachers needed to cross the finish line.

At the end of the conversation, one of our affiliates from California mentioned something that I thought was a great idea: Attend a Summer Workshop.

In the interest of recharging batteries, there are lots of great options around the country for summer workshops for media teachers. Since many of us feel like this year has been our toughest yet, working with like-minded teachers to find our excitement for the craft again might be just what you need.

There are camps for journalism. There are camps for film. There are camps for media teaching. If you have lost the wind in your sails and want to find the passion for teaching media before the fall of 2021, I suggest looking into a summer camp.

A few that I would suggest looking into:

If you are hoping to start the year strong in 2021, this might be just for you.

Also, keep an eye out for our announcement for a brand-new contest this Friday!

Talk to you soon,

Josh Cantrell
