Student Leadership Council

We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the STN Student Leadership Council!  This program is designed to support and empower student leaders within your broadcast and film programs by providing opportunities for training, mentorship, and hands-on experience. As this is the pilot year, your feedback will be crucial in helping us grow and improve.

Council Levels

Program Level
Student leaders are elected or selected to help manage their school’s broadcast or film program, gaining leadership experience and foundational skills.  Many of these students may already be your producers, directors, editors, etc.

State Level
Program-level leaders can apply for state-level council positions, where they collaborate with other student leaders to expand STN outreach and programs across their state.

National Level
State-level leaders can apply to represent STN on a national scale.  National leaders participate in major STN projects, becoming the student voice and influencing future initiatives.
